Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. - Consolidation Project

The client is the New York branch of a large Japanese bank. Ballemco Inc. provided services for a project to manage the migration of customer data from the three banks that were consolidated to become Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd.

We managed the planning, development, and implementation of methods, programs, and processes to identify and migrate client data from the systems of the three former banks. More than 60,000 individual clients were identified during the project, resulting in a consolidated, agreed list of more than 18,000 clients in the consolidated bank. The client data was successfully migrated to more than 20 systems without significant error.

We wrote the detailed technical specifications for the development that was required to support the customer data migration. The specifications were approved by senior management from all three banks and the developers. The application was completed, tested, and delivered on an accelerated timeframe with no significant changes required to the original specifications.

We developed additional back-end and front-end programs that accessed and modified the data in the customer identification program.

We developed the work flow for the post-consolidation processes. This included the identification of new clients and a data cleanup.
