Microsoft Access is an application for developing databases, including the data structure, the forms to manage the data, and reports based on that data.

In our practice, we use this tool to prototype applications, including the 'look and feel' prototypes, as well as extracting and reviewing data from both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases at our client sites. In some cases, we have also used this to deliver an end user solution to solve a particular problem that does not warrant the development of a full-scale database enabled application.
