Microsoft SQL Server

This is a database, primarily used in large corporations, that provides robust, secure, and highly-available access to corporate data. There is also an 'Express' edition that allows for the development of databases with many of the same features as a full SQL Server installation.

In our practice, we have used SQL Server databases at our client sites as the back-end for Microsoft Access applications. This has included accessing data through ODBC, building sophisticated queries to access data, and designing Microsoft SQL Server databases.

We also use the Express edition for internal development.
