This application is used to prepare detailed drawings, based on templates. For example,
with Microsoft Visio and suitable templates, it is possible to diagram the components
of a corporate network or various UML models.
In our practice, we have used Microsoft Visio for UML Models, Database Diagrams, and Work
Flow Diagrams for our clients. We have used
Microsoft Word for the text portions of these deliverables.
Internally, we use Visio for 'one off' diagrams of
various types. Our UML Models, Database Diagrams, and Work Flow Diagrams are prepared
using Enterprise Architect.
